	Squash at Portobello Green Fitness Club has a long history as the Cub was once a squash club. We have our own professional coach and run leagues and regular competitions as well as offering lessons. We also sell and hire equipment and offer a racquet stringing service.

	GRADED SQUASH TOURNAMENT - Graded Tournament Tuesday 17th to Sat 21st June

	IT'S TOURNAMENT TIME AGAIN! We're running a graded tournament for players at the Club. This takes place between Tuesday 17th June and Saturday 21st June. There will be three categories of entry to the competition: Advanced, Intermediate and Advanced Beginners. Entry is £12 - see Michael Phillips or Reception for more details or to sign up! 	HI SQUASHERS! WOMEN'S SQUASH A new Women's Squash Ladder has been formed to encourage all our women squash enthusiasts. So if you or any of your partners would like to challenge themselves, please point them in this direction. Contact me, Michael for more information. LEAGUE NEWS There have been far more matches played over the last period and I would like to thank all who contributed. 	LATEST SQUASH NEWS...LATEST SQUASH NEWS...LATEST SQUASH NEWS... We have two teams in the Middlesex league. Each term consist of a ten-man squad with five players per team. Our first team is in Division Three and our second in Division Five. TEAM SQUASH What does Team Squash bring to PGFC? Every one enjoys a challenge, to be tested to their fullest ability. So after competing against your fellow members, test your fitness and skill against other clubs. Representing your country, county or even your league club is a great honour.Team spirit and togetherness brings so many positive attributes to make a club worthwhile!!! INTERNAL SQUASH LEAGUES For a club of only two squash courts our internal league is a good size of 13 leagues, consisting of five per league.The standard ranges from beginner to advance players, giving any new member a chance to fit in very nicely. SOCIAL SQUASH PGFC is such a friendly club, some of our regular players have been members for many years. Some members have left and come back, some have even moved away a considerable distance and still continued playing squash at the Club. We pride ourselves on being a very social club and have two social squash days a week: CLUB NIGHTS Club Night is every Thursday evening, with two sessions: 6.40pm – 8pm 8pm – 10pm The squash-pro coach is there to make sure everything goes smoothly. CLUB SQUASH Club Squash – this is every Sunday from 11.20am – 2pm The coach is on site. Each social session has a limit of 10 players, so it’s first come, first served. TOURNAMENTS We try to keep a competitive edge to the club and have two club tournaments per year, if possible. Each tournament is graded, making it available to all who want to compete from beginners to advance. We also have a twist to one of the championships, by intergrading the grades and bringing in handicaps. COACHING Michael Phillips is our Squash-Pro coach. He has the qualification to coach all abilities from beginners to advance players. As the coach is freelance we have managed to obtain his services on Monday evenings. Other days are obtainable through calling his mobile on 07956 961743. We also provide a free introduction course to all absolute beginners. These courses are implemented throughout the year.
